Selva Rica Media Productions are created with the following core principals in mind:

Collaborate: Selva Rica is a group of artists and activists from all over the world working together to inspire solutions for a peaceful, more diverse, and healthier planet.  We focus our efforts on creating media that gives a voice the struggles of indigenous peoples, environmental activists, and innovative thinkers and the environment.

Inspire solutions: We create media that inspires actual solutions to environmental, cultural and social struggles. We use film, music, and visual arts to articulate and share these solutions with our audiences in a creative manner. 

Reach our audience: We design our work for actual audiences, not simply the internet or film festivals.  This means we produce media with a smart narrow casting of audience members in mind.  For example, we may create a short documentary about a dam project in Panama with the intention of sharing it with political and civil societies that are key actors in project.  Or we may create a comedic narrative feature about oil drilling in the Amazon because we want the film’s message to specifically reach an audience of indigenous communities who are most affected by the film’s topic.

Educate and share: All of our media is produced as a product of an educational workshop or a collaboration.
